The Property
Exclusive Use Castle for Hire in Yorkshire, UK
Take possession of this fantastic Castle and become king of the castle, if only for the weekend! Starting life as a farmhouse, this Grade II folly was transformed to look like a Norman castle at the end of the 19th century, although the original owners did this simply to create a romantic castle in view of their own house; they didn’t actually live there! The current owners have transformed the property into a contemporary haven, where luxurious living and characterful charm combine.
Inside
-
Style: Boasting battlements, towers with arrow slit windows and arch headed windows, this is character personified. Inside this striking exterior, cool and contemporary interiors abound.
-
Layout: There is a real feel of continuity throughout the five double bedrooms, offering sumptuous carpets, luxurious fabrics and subtle storage. The master suite has an expansive dressing room and en suite shower room, while the attic room is a veritable den of luxury; from the lounger in the en suite to the cosy double bedroom squirreled away on the third floor (the staircase to this bedroom leads from a double) The other three bedroom share two fantastic bathrooms; a circular shower room as well as a steam bathroom.
-
For relaxation: Take a book and chill out in the ‘conservatory’ where you overlook the water wheel in the garden. Alternatively, stretch out on the sofas in front of the roaring fire. Lead out from the pool and here you will find a hot tub.
-
For recreation: Dig out your swimming togs and enjoy the indoor pool for a few laps, or even work up a sweat in the gym.
-
Practicalities: A utility room complete with washer and dryer is available for your use.
